To coincide with the Olympic year and the COP 16 Biodiversity conference at the end of the year, Play for Nature had the opportunity to collaborate with IUCN’s Sports for Nature Framework and Expertise France to produce a captivating document on the theme of “Sport and Conservation”.
Sport is an excellent illustration of the close ties that exist between man and nature.
Sporting events, for their part, provide opportunities for the sporting and conservation communities to work together on issues of sustainability and biodiversity preservation, both locally and globally.
Play for Nature has written an article on the link between sport and nature, published by the Post2020 Biodiversity Framework – EU Support. This project is implemented by Expertise France and funded by the European Union (EU), with the support of the IUCN Sports for Nature initiative and the contribution of the Fair Play for Planet label.
